An Introduction to Our Firm

We founded Blackbird Architects in order to practice the highest quality and most
sensitive design, using common sense and an economy of means. we strive to
realize beautiful, elegant, and sustainable solutions in all of our work.

As our guiding philosophy, these goals are manifest as a total commitment to our
client's needs, and to unite and focus the efforts of our firm and the teams in which
we work.

Blackbird Architects has been recognized both locally and nationally for design
achievements where beautiful spaces are realized that conserve resources and
are sensitive to our environment. Our office building, Van Atta Design Studio, has
won several local design awards for design excellence and environmental
responsibility. We have also been fortunate enough to be recognized nationally
for design excellence in several master planning design competitions.
