This Tea Fire rebuild was a custom-designed prefabricated home. Realized at very low-cost and utilizing fire-resistant and sustainable / green materials, the 710 square foot, one-module residence is perched on a steeply sloping site with outstanding views of the Santa Barbara harbor and Channel Islands. Long overhangs and substantial porches & view decks allow for outdoor living, provide comfort and appropriate building shading and integrate the building to the site.
Factory fabrication of the building allowed for a much shorter construction time, allowing a faster move in for the owner.
