San Luis Obispo, CA, 2005
Blackbird Architects was invited by the Department of Architecture to participate in a three-day charrette on the Cal-Poly San Luis Obispo campus to provide sustainable design inspiration in the initial phase of development for an on-campus technology park.
Our design proposal focused on flexible building shells, multi-use indoor/ outdoor zones, improvements to neighboring facilities, a 200KW fuel cell powered by campus-harvested methane, grey & blackwater treatment systems, and a vibrant & rehabilitated surrounding landscape.
